Walls in the bathroom are skip troweled and drying.

Holes in the hall are covered up and the plaster drying.

Hole in kitchen wall repaired and paint is drying.

Mastic is up and floor is almost ready to tile.


Making good progress albeit a bit slower then I had hoped. It's nice to feel like we're getting somewhere.

Soooo......

Working on the bathroom remodel we found out as we had expected the tile is asbestos and he mastic is nasty. Found a green Mastic remover called Bean-E-Doo.

It's soy based and supposed to be a whole lot less toxic. Picking up a gallon tomorrow then it's tile time!!

Needless to say I feel great. With the CPAP machine I'm sleeping and feeling rested enough to go home after work and work on the house for an hour. We might actually get the place looking nice(finished) for a change.

We're also going to start recycling and using recycled wood for projects. So looking for resources for used/leftover building materials.

Hitting the restore on Friday....

Be wary of Dressers....

I was innocently getting cleaned up after working on the car....and it jumped out at me attacked me poor innocent toe....

It won.

I'm now the owner of a 4-6 week stint in a boot cast in order to avoid surgery.

Broke it diagonally from the bottom up through the joint at the base. IF the piece doesn't reattach they have to remove it...hence the casting.

so yeah...fun times.

Well barring any weirdness with the background check I have a job!!!! Working at apple as a tech support type person. Go figure I only did tech support for 6 years :P

I'm excited and very happy.
